Match Play. Double Match Point. How should Red play 41?

At DMP it is best to keep all your checkers working because you cannot us the cube to win.

Over the board 24/18, 5/4 was tried but that is too passive.

Better is 24/18, 6/5, duplicating threes and keeping all the checkers working.

    22/18, 5/4 is a bad error.

      Perhaps it's duplication for duplication's sake, but I would play 22/18, 6/5.

It's difficult to see a more constructive play here than Peder's. However, I'll go with the patient 22/18; 5/4.

My choice was Ben's play of lifting the blot and making the bar point. However, I admit that Peder's play was not one of my candidate plays. All the same, I don't like leaving shots here without a strong incentive to do so, even with White's blot on the 24-point. Getting hit could easily ruin Red's chances of containment.
