Money Play. How should Red play 51?

Red is not the favourite here whatever he plays.

!6/10 turns out be just too passive and what will Red do next time? He should take a risk now and make the banana split play 16/11, 6/5*. The Jacoby Rule will protect him from losing a gammon, so the risk is justified.

If White fans Red doesn’t yet have a double but he might have by his following turn.

Once again, the positive action play is better than the passive play. XG rates 16/10 as a blunder.

I think a big play is called for: 16/11, 6/5*.

I think 16/10 is the right idea here. If White misses, he's likely to leave a shot against Red's 5 point board.

I like the banana split here. I don't think Red can afford to pass up an opportunity to hit red.
