Money Play. Should Red double? If doubled, should White take?

This type of position is deceptive. It is surprisingly difficult to bring Red’s checkers home safely and he normally leaves a fair number of indirect shots.

It is a double and not to do so would be blunder. Equally well White has a very comfortable take and dropping would also be a blunder. Once you have seen a position like this you know what to do but I have seen many a player drop such doubles as White.

The double should be obvious. Can White take? I think she can. Racing chances, indirect shots and cube ownership adds up to a take. But it's no bargain.

I believe that if White fans another turn, it will be a clear drop, so Red must double now. It looks to me like White has got enough winning chances to take. D/T

Red has a clear double. Just on the pip count this looks like a clear pass. However, red has some wastage on his 1 and 2pts and needs 7 crossovers before he can start bearing off, in comparison to white's 5. I don't like it, but as white I'd take.
