Match Play. 3-3 to 7. Should Red redouble? If redoubled, should White take?

White’s take point for the redouble is a very high 33% (because his match winning chances from 3-5 down are 33%).

For money the redouble would be premature here but Red doesn’t want to risk losing his market at this match score and so he should redouble now. To reinforce the point not redoubling here is a double blunder.

Interesting match score consideration. It seems to me that this is not so different from 2-away/2-away, with a similar take-point, if I am not mistaken. I would guess that this is a D/T. There must be several market losing sequences.

Red needs to be better than 50% favourite to turn the cube here, and I think he is. Slightly up in the race, on roll with a slightly better distribution on checkers in his home board. looks like reason enough to double. It looks like a take for white.

RD/T. White can take with better than 32%, and I believe she has that.
