Money Play. How should Red play 62?

I often see this misplayed so thought I would include in position of the Day. 24/22, 13/7 is the wrong idea. Red’s position will be difficult to improve and meanwhile he will have two checkers stuck behind a four-point prime and not even at the edge of the prime.

Also, he is ahead in the race so he should race. 22/16 is the correct 6 and then he should play 24/22 with the 2 to keep the rear checkers connected.

24/22, 13/7 is nearly blunder and 22/14 is a true blunder.

24/16. I think this is better than stripping the midpoint with 13/7 and anchoring up 24/22.
