Money Play. How should Red play 64?

Over the board I hit with 13/3* but that is the wrong game plan as Red doesn’t have the ammunition for an attack.

It is better to play to prime White’s rear checkers by making the key bar-point and 5-pt. To that end the best play is 17/13, 17/11 which dismantles an awkward point and puts the builders in good positions. 13/3* is a blunder.

It is tempting to hit, but I believe the positional 17/13, 17/11 is better.
