• 2019 - Position 51

Money Play. Should Red double? If doubled, should White take?

An easy one to start the week.

Red must double because of the gammon threat. White must take because his position is fundamentally sound other than the blot. The race is virtually equal.

White will win nearly 40% of the time from here. It is the 18% gammon wins and the volatility that give Red his double.

D/T. A hit is good, of course. If not, the game goes on.

D/T. Take is clear - if red misses the blot, white is nowhere near dead. I think red can double, based on the 11 immediate hits, and the fact he has a strong anchor, a slight racing lead and white's position is a little awkward.
