Money Play. Should Red double? If doubled, should White take?

A classic middle game double. Red has the advantage but trails in the race. The position is clearly volatile so it must be a double.

White has a take, although it is no bargain. With all his checkers in play he has several ways to win the game. That flexibility puts him into take territory. Dropping is an error but not a blunder.

Red leads in postion, race, and threat, and needs to activate gammons, so the double couldn't be more clear. I don't think White can take. With two rear checkers that haven't been touched and a blot where the mid-point should be, White is split in two.

The double is clear, and I think white can take. Red is infact behind in the race and white's position looks playable.

I think it's D/P.
