Money Play. How should Red play 43?

Red should have doubled but didn’t. Over the board he chose 21/18, 5/1 but that puts a checker out of play.

He does much better to keep all his checkers oi play with 21/18, 21/17, swapping the hitting aces for hitting sixes.

This also exerts far more pressure on the White blot on Red’s 11-pt.

21/18, 5/1 is a blunder. 21/14, duplicating twos, is an error but not a blunder.

personally, I would have doubled before the roll. 21/18,21/17. This puts pressure on white immediately.
