Match Play. 4-4 to 7. Should Red redouble? If redoubled, should White take?

This is a deceptive position and many would drop as White whether for money or at this match score…

In fact, White has a comfortable take in either scenario although I would expect to get a lot of drops as Red. However, when Red fans White is not too far from the finish line. It is that White’s structure is no poor that would lead many to drop but for the moment his home board is as strong as Red’s.

As I said, a deceptive position.

It is easy to calculate, that here Red has to have more than 50% to double - it is clear, so it is a double. White needs 25% to take - I believe he has it, because 25% of the time Red will stay on the bar and of course White has some additional chances to win. D/T.

RD/T. Red doesn't need much here to redouble, and this position is very volatile. I think white can take as he's massively ahead in the race and red still has a lot of work to do even if he hits.
